Going Sustainable: Here are some ways we make a difference and products we offer, so that you can continue our work at home!

1. PRODUCE OXYGEN:

Wherever possible, you will see potted plants in Stella. The oxygen produced by green plants balances out carbon dioxide emissions.

2. SAVE WATER:

We turn off the tap when massaging in products during a hair wash and have flow reducers on all taps.

3. RECYCLE:

We are equipped with recycling bins for paper, plastics, glass and hair-colouring tubes. Toss anything in our trash receptacles, we pick through them and recycle everything we can...Ewww! :)

4. CLEAN GREEN:

Wherever possible, we use detergents that are the most environmentally friendly. This reduces water pollution. Sometimes it is hard to balance great disinfectants with environmentally friendly products, but we pick and choose wisely.

5. LOW-ENERGY LIGHTING:

You will notice, we have chosen to replace all burnt out light bulbs to light bulbs marked CFL (Compact Fluorescent Lights). They last 10 times longer and use 66% less energy than incandescent bulbs.

6. LINENS WASHED IN COLD WATER:

Our laundry service uses cold water to avoid producing large quantities of CO2.

7. BATHROOM TOWELS:

You will find small hand towels in our bathroom and no paper towels, this cuts down on waste and paper towel production.

8. RECYCLED PAPER:

Recycled paper is used for all of our printing needs, even postcards and business cards. We are also developing ways to go paperless on all needed forms for Laser Services, Massage and Skin Care. We also use an online scheduling system to reduce paper consumption; this allows all staff members to view their schedules on their smart phones!

9: ZERO IMPACT PRODUCTS- DAVINES ESSENTIAL HAIRCARE:

Zero Impact- a combination of scientific knowledge and passion for the environment. Essential Haircare has its source in and is made from 100% renewable energy. Essential Haircare includes seven product families, each of which is aimed at specific hair “wishes”, plus a range created for hair and skin exposed to the sun. Essential Hair Care products are based on natural active ingredients of Mediterranean origin and fragrance. The environmentally friendly packaging of Essential Haircare is also an innovative feature. The bottles are made using 25% less plastic and can be recycled for domestic use. What is more, thanks to LifeGate’s Zero Impact project, Davines Essential Haircare products contribute to reforesting protected green areas in Costa Rica and Ticino Park. Davines is the first Italian company in the professional cosmetics sector to have joined the project, which enables it to spread ecological awareness and improve quality of life.

Once again these product ranges demonstrate the company’s passionate concern for the environment, and give its customers a chance to stand side by side with Davines in taking concrete action.

The Davines/Essential Haircare families:

NOUNOU _ for treated and coloured hair

MOMO_for dry and dehydrated hair

DEDE _for fine and stressed hair

SOLU _for all types of hair

LOVE _for curly hair

LOVE _for frizzy hair

MELU _for long or damaged hair

SU _for hair and skin before during and after sun exposure

10. REUSE:

Save the environment and some money with Davines and Stella Dieci!

The Davines Essentials containers are made from food grade containers...So when you are done, rinse and reuse. We like to put salads and salad dressing in them, paper clips or we use them at home as pots to plant oxygen producing little beauties!

But, what is best is that we will refill your shampoo and conditioner for a 10% discount!

Just give us a call and ask if we have your product in stock and then just bring it in, refill and repeat :)
